NSC dialogue with Saudi Arabian experts on the security situation in the Black Sea region, the Balkans and the Middle East

Experts of New Strategy Center had an online meeting on Wednesday, October 20, with experts from the International Institute for Iranian Studies (Rasanah), in Saudi Arabia, dedicated to security challenges in the Black Sea region, the Balkans, the Middle East and North Africa.
The talks included a briefing by Dr. Mohammed Alsulami, Founder and President of Rasanah, Ambassador Ali Assiri, former Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan and Lebanon and Dr. Ahmed Algarni, Vice President of Rasanah. On behalf of the NSC, an assessment of the security situation in the Black Sea and Balkans region was made by Ambassador Sergiu Celac, Honorary President of New Strategy Center, MG (Ret) Leonardo Dinu and Ambassador Doru Costea, Members of the Scientific Council of New Strategy Center.
The meeting was moderated by Ambassador Doru Costea, Member of the Scientific Council of the New Strategy Center and Dr. Mohammed Alsulami, President of Rasanah.
The dialogue took into account the geopolitical interactions in the Middle East, the dynamics in North Africa and the counter-terrorism activities in this area, as well as the Russian strategy in the Middle East and North Africa region.
The exchange of experience with representatives of the Rasanah Institute in Saudi Arabia is part of the New Strategy Center initiative to present the security situation in the Black Sea region to reputable think tanks and institutes abroad, thus contributing to a better understanding of the challenges this space is facing.
