NSC – ELCANO, new cooperation projects

The New Strategy Center and the ELCANO Institute in Spain will cooperate in 2024 in new projects, on topics of great interest at NATO and EU level. George Scutaru, Director General of NSC, met with Dr. Charles Powell, Director General of the prestigious Spanish institute ELCANO, one of NSC’s partners, with whom we have collaborated in several projects. This meeting was hosted by Ambassador Sorin Ducaru, Honorary Chairman of the NSC Scientific Council and Director of the EU Satellite Centre in Torejon, Spain.
It was a useful exchange of views in which we discussed the security challenges facing NATO and the EU in the context of the war in Ukraine and the major security challenges in the Middle East.
