Understanding the War in Ukraine: Perspectives from the Ground
On Wednesday, May 11th, New Strategy Center organized the debate “Understanding the War in Ukraine: Perspective from the Ground”,  having Mykhailo Samus and Igor Fedyk, experts on defence from the New Geopolitics Research Network – Ukraine, as speakers.
The discussions focused on the analysis of the first two months of the war, the causes of the failure of the Russian army, possible developments on the ground in the coming period. Through this debate, broadcast live by media partner “Calea Europeana”, New Strategy Center wanted to bring people with a wide expertise to the specialized public in Romania, but also to those interested in threats near our borders, in order to try to better understand the future developments of the war. Russian aggression has destabilized Europe’s security and represents a threat not only to Ukraine’s sovereignty, but also to that of other non-NATO countries, such as the Republic of Moldova or Georgia. The States of the democratic world must keep supporting Ukraine, so that Russia fails to achieve its objectives and stop the aggression.
