On the 27th of October, Ambassador Doru Costea, member of the Scientific Council of New Strategy Center attended the Belgrade Security Conference (BSC) as a speaker in the panel “Black Sea Region at a Boiling Point”.

Participants discussed the possibility of the conflict spreading beyond Ukraine’s borders and strengthening NATO’s presence on the Eastern flank, as well as Turkey’s role as a mediator in the context of Russian aggression in Ukraine. Beyond this, they discussed how the conflict has affected the stability of the region.

This conference takes place in Belgrade from the 27th to the 28th of October and brings together over 400 participants from both the region and beyond, officials, national decision-makers and opinion-makers, world leaders, diplomats, representatives of international organizations, academia, media, civil society, and think tanks.
