New Strategy Center in London – ‘NATO Engages – Innovating the Alliance’

The future of the North Atlantic Alliance was debated on Tuesday, December 3, in London, during the conference “NATO Engages – Innovating the Alliance”. New Strategy Center joined a consortium made of the Atlantic Council, Globsec, Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), King’s College London and Munich Security Conference for marking the 70th anniversary of the North Atlantic Alliance. This event was organized on the margins of the NATO summit in London.

Mircea Geoană, Deputy Secretary General of NATO, talked about the importance of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the transformations the former soviet states went through in the last 30 years, as well as challenges to see the North Atlantic Alliance is addressing and will address in the future.

Ambassador Sorin Ducaru, Director of the Satellite Center of Europe and the President of the Scientific Council of New Strategy Center, referred to the importance of investments in technology, research and development for the security of the Euro-Atlantic area.
