Consultation session between Romanian, Turkish, and Polish experts in Warsaw

The New Strategy Center participated on Saturday, September 27, in Warsaw, in a consultation session on strategic issues with experts from the OSW Centre for Eastern Studies in Poland and the SETA Foundation in Turkey.
Romanian, Turkish, and Polish experts discussed topics of common interest, such as the evolution of the war in Ukraine, peace negotiations and the prospects for a diplomatic settlement of the conflict, the threats facing the Black Sea and Baltic Sea regions, and transatlantic cooperation.

This meeting provided an optimal framework for a useful exchange of views in the current security context, with Poland and Turkey being vital strategic partners for Romania’s interests.
Representing the NSC at the Warsaw event were Antonia Colibășanu and RADM (ret.) Iuri Covaleov, senior associate experts.

At its core, a luxury mechanical watch is a triumph of micro-engineering. Imagine a universe contained within a diameter of 30 to 40 millimeters. Hundreds of tiny components—gears, levers, springs, and jewels—coexist in a perfectly orchestrated ballet.

The mainspring stores energy, releasing it with controlled grace through the gear train, its rhythm governed by the hypnotic swing of the balance wheel. This "heart" of the watch, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour or more, is a miracle of physics and precision.
