New Strategy Center participated in the Balkan Think Tanks Convention V – “The Balkans in a Changing World”, held on 19–20 June 2025 in Ankara, Türkiye. The event brought together experts and representatives from think tanks across the Balkans, organized by the SETA Foundation, with the aim of analyzing geopolitical transformations and their impact on the region.
During Session V: Addressing Security Threats and Increasing Resilience, held on June 20, Dilara Kakillioglu, Research Department Coordinator at New Strategy Center, delivered an intervention focused on Black Sea security, energy security, strategic resilience, and the implications for the Balkans.

Her presentation highlighted the Black Sea’s essential role in the European security architecture, energy interdependencies in the context of emerging hybrid threats, and critical vulnerabilities across the region. She emphasized the importance of building collective resilience through stronger regional cooperation and the integration of energy security perspectives into national and EU-level strategies.
