New Strategy Center participated in Madrid at the Conference on the Future of Europe, organized at the headquarters of the Spanish School of Diplomacy. Ambassador Sorin Ducaru, the President of the Scientific Council of New Strategy Center and Ambassadors Lazar Comănescu and Gheorghe Magheru, members of the Scientific Council of New Strategy Center, intervened on topics such as the European construction in the current stage, developments in security and defense, and the Eastern Neighborhood.
The event was organized at the initiative of the Embassy of Romania in Madrid in the context of the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The conference benefited by the participation of Her Excellency, Mrs. Gabriela Dancău, The Ambassador of Romania to Madrid, Mr. Josep Pique Camps, Former Foreign Minister of Spain and an audience composed of senior officials of the Spanish Foreign Ministry, representatives of the diplomatic corps and of the academic environment. On this occasion in Madrid, there were also held talks with dr. Charles Powell, the Director of the Spanish Royal Institute Elcano, in order to identify joint projects with New Strategy Center.
