NSC video conference: The Pandemic: What Next in Turkey’s Foreign and Security Policy?

New Strategy Center held a debate on Thursday, April 23, entitled ‘The Pandemic: What Next in Turkey’s Foreign and Security Policy?’, with Dr. Șebnem Udum, a Professor at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey, and Dr. Murat Aslan, Researcher at the Foundation for Political, Economic and Social Research – SETA, Turkey.

Participants benefited from a discussion on the future of Turkey’s foreign and security policy in a regional and global context following the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. The debate covered topics such as the political and psychological motivations behind Ankara’s foreign policy decisions in the context of this crisis, as well as the defining elements of Turkish security policy in the Middle East, the Balkans and the wider Black Sea region.
