New Strategy Center organized the conference “Russia and the New Cold War. Current State and Possible Evolution.” on Tuesday, November 5th.  Participants benefited from the expertise of Mr. Andrey Illarionov, Senior Fellow of the Center for Global Liberty and Prosperity, Cato Institute, Washington DC, USA and former senior economic adviser of President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, between 2000-2005. The debate focused on perspectives of the foreign and security policy of the Putin regime. The discussion also took into account the social-economic situation in Russia and the effects of the economic sanctions adopted by the democratic states after the illegal occupation of Crimea by Russia in 2014.
