The third edition of the Unmanned Systems Forum: Smart Approach, Fast Development

The third edition of the Unmanned Systems Forum, organised by the New Strategy Center in partnership with the Ministry of National Defence, will take place on 23-24 February in Bucharest, at the National Defence University, being the most important event in Romania dedicated to unmanned systems.

The conference will be attended by civil and military officials and experts from Romania and other NATO and EU member states, as well as representatives from academia and companies with extensive experience in the field. The event is organised in a Chatham House system and in a mixed format, with both online and in-person participation.

The war in Ukraine is characterised by a large-scale, intensive use of unmanned systems, which will impact both their development and systems to counter drones of all types. Under the motto “Smart Approach, Fast Development”, the conference will provide a framework for debate and assessment of the security situation in the wider Black Sea region following Russian aggression in Ukraine and how disruptive technologies will evolve further.
