New Strategy Center celebrated 3 years of activity, along with its guests. The first event organized by the New Strategy Center was held on July 9th 2015 and since then, we organized 92 events, debating important issues related to the national security, where the participants launched ideas, proposals and solutions so that Romania would have stronger mechanisms to address numerous security challenges.
During the last year, New Strategy Center has consolidated its foreign partnerships, also signed some new ones with Hellenic Foundation for European&Foreign Policy from Greece and World Experience for Georgia, has completed new studies, such as the one regarding China’s economic influence in the Balkans or the study on the Three Seas Initiative, together with the Center for Eastern Studies (OSW) from Poland, and continued the series of debates organized abroad in order to promote Romania’s security interests or the strategic importance of the Black Sea and the Balkans region.
We also consolidated the academic cooperation, by organizing the first edition of the “Security Challenges in the Balkans” conference, in partnership with the West University from Timisoara, and the second edition of the „Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum”, on June 14-16, in partnership with Ovidius University from Constanța and the Metropolitan Area of Constanța, the last one being one of the most important events organized in Romania in the last period.
We could have not been able to achieve all these without the support of those who believe in us and who sustained the New Strategy Center project and to whom we are pleased to express our gratitude one again.
