New Strategy Center has signed a cooperation agreement with the Centre for Economics and Foreign Policy Studies (EDAM) in Turkey. The memorandum aims to establish a framework for ongoing cooperation, including the organization of joint events, the development of analyses and studies on topics of mutual interest in the field of security and international relations, and cooperation in various international projects. This is part of the NSC’s efforts to develop and strengthen a network of partnerships at the regional level to encourage a constant exchange of expertise and a better understanding of the security challenges faced by states in the region.
The Centre for Economics and Foreign Policy Studies (EDAM) is an independent think-tank based in Istanbul, specializing in foreign and security policy, Turkey’s relations with the European Union, energy, and economics. EDAM aims to contribute to the policy-making process in Turkey and beyond by producing and disseminating research studies on policy areas that shape Turkey’s position within the emerging global order. In addition to conducting research in these areas, EDAM organizes conferences and roundtables. In addition, EDAM cooperates with numerous national and international organizations to conduct research studies and joint work.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the New Strategy Center by Mr. George Scutaru, Director General, and on behalf of EDAM by Ambassador (ret.) Tacan Ildem, President of the organization, on the occasion of the 6th Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum, which took place in Bucharest on 2-3 September.
