National Health and Security: Digitization and Cyber Security of the Healthcare System

On Tuesday, 19 April 2022, New Strategy Center organized the “National Health and Security: Digitization and Cyber Security of the Healthcare System” conference. Mr. Daniel Ioniță, Senior Associated Expert at New Strategy Center, moderated the discussion and the speakers were Mr. Andrei Baciu, State Secretary, Ministry of Public Health, BG Anton Rog, General Director, National Center Cyberint, the Romanian Intelligence Service, Mr. Octavian Popa, General Director of the Department for Institutional Partnerships, The National Directorate for Cyber Security, and Col. Dragoș Glăvan, Chief of the Agency for Telemedicine, Communications and Information Technology, “Carol Davila” Military Hospital.

The discussion focused on several topics of interest, including the National Plan for Reconstruction and Resilience and digitization in the healthcare field, lessons learned during the pandemic in terms of cyber threats in healthcare, methods to increase resilience in the medical field in terms of cyber security and the Telemedicine Information System of Defense – a large-scale project for Romania.
