New Strategy Center organized a camp for children of Ukrainian soldiers from the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade in Transcarpathia from July 16th to August 1st. This unit was engaged in the 2022’s defense battles and participated in the liberation of settlements in the Kharkov region, and is currently on the frontline near Zaporozhye.

25 children and 5 accompanying persons left Uzhgorod, the capital of Transcarpathian region, together with the NSC team in charge of the project, and for 2 weeks visited the Romanian coast, Brasov and the mountain area of Bistrita. The History Museum in Mangalia, the Navy Museum in Constanta, the Enisala Fortress, the Aventura Park in Neptun, the Fortress of Brasov, the Dino Park and the Fortress of Rasnov, the Black Church, the Rasnavava Gorge, the Colibita Lake, the Tihuța Pass impressed the guests from Ukraine, most of them being in our country for the first time. It is worth mentioning that among those who attended the camp were children of Ukrainian citizens of Romanian ethnicity who are currently fighting on the front.
