New Strategy Center took part in the Workshop „Connectivity 2025 – Transformation through Connectivity”, a side event of the Burgas Connectivity Forum, held on June 18, 2025, in Burgas, Bulgaria. The event was organized by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in cooperation with the Economic Policy Institute.

During the forum, Dilara Kakillioglu, Research Department Coordinator at the New Strategy Center, contributed to the Panel, “Developing Sustainable Connectivity in Energy”, which addressed regional cooperation and energy resilience in the Black Sea area. Dilara Kakillioglu spoke on “The Black Sea’s Offshore Energy Potential and Its Strategic Role at a Regional and Continental Level.” Her intervention highlighted the geopolitical significance of the Black Sea’s energy resources, the opportunities for cross-border infrastructure projects, and the importance of safeguarding critical energy infrastructure in light of regional instability. The discussion explored paths toward a more integrated and sustainable energy network in Eastern Europe, with emphasis on Ukraine’s energy security, public-private partnerships, and the alignment of regional policies with EU energy strategies.
