Today, 28 November 2023, the Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD), Bulgaria in partnership with the New Strategy Center organized a workshop dedicated to countering hybrid threats associated with Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and malign interference in the Black Sea region. The activity took place in a hybrid format and was organised in Sofia, Bulgaria with the participation of Romanian guests in an online format. Dr. Alina Bârgăoanu, Senior Associate Expert at the New Strategy Center, was a speaker at the event, with a series of interventions dedicated to analysing how hybrid threats are manifested in Romania and how they can be countered.

The two organisations have recently released a study on Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and malign interference in the Black Sea region which can be downloaded in English, Romanian or Bulgarian HERE.
