NSC Dialogue with partners from Ukraine

On Thursday 24 February, the members of the Scientific Council of the New Strategy Center attended an online dialog with Ukrainian partners from the New Geopolitical Research Network, where Mykhailo Samus, the Director of the NGRN, made an assessment of the crisis in Ukraine and the most important developments so far, following the Russian aggression on Ukrainian territory. Ukraine is being attacked by the Russian army in several directions, but Ukrainian forces are holding back. The disinformation campaign complements the Russian arsenal to create panic and weaken the morale and response capacity of Ukrainian troops.

The New Strategy Center team stands in solidarity with the Ukrainian people, who are currently undergoing unprovoked Russian aggression, and strongly condemns the revisionist actions of the Kremlin regime.

Since its establishment, the New Strategy Center has been focused on promoting the democratic values and cooperation at regional level, which is reflected in the numerous partnerships that have been concluded. The security of the wider Black Sea region and the Balkans has been at the heart of our efforts to promote professional debates and to propose coherent policies at regional and allied level. The current security challenges demonstrate the need for internal political cohesion and for building resilience across society. The New Strategy Center will continue to be a platform for debate and dialog to promote Romania’s security interests and the values of the Euro-Atlantic area shared by our country as well.
