NSC in Israel: information visit with experts from Central and Eastern Europe
From 3-9 June, the New Strategy Center participated in a information visit to Israel, organized by the European Leadership Network (ELNET), in the context of the project “Strategic Dialogue of Central and Eastern European Countries and Israel”.
On behalf of New Strategy Center participated BG (ret.) Eduard SIMION, Senior Associate Expert. The activity organized by ELNET aimed at understanding the institutional environment in Israel, the security challenges in the Middle East, as well as a very useful exchange of views on security developments on NATO’s Eastern flank in the context of the Russia`s war against Ukraine and other issues of common interest.
Mr. Eduard Simion highlighted in his speeches the strategic importance of the Black Sea region, from a military point of view, but also in terms of freedom of navigation, food and energy security, as well as the impact in the region of the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
