New Strategy Center organized a documentation visit to Ukraine from September 12-15. On this occasion, NSC experts participated in the Yalta European Strategy Forum, a prestigious event organized annually to support Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
George Scutaru, CEO of the NSC, and Ecaterina Dadiverina, coordinator of the “Projects for Ukraine” Department, held numerous discussions with Ukrainian experts on the security situation, possible developments on the front, the state of the economy, the effects of Russian attacks on the energy system. Other topics such as societal resilience, Ukraine’s EU and NATO integration, post-war security guarantees, the country’s reconstruction process, Romania’s role in this broad process were also addressed.
NSC experts also had meetings with members of the Verkhovna Rada to discuss the above-mentioned topics, as well as possible new cooperation projects between Romania and Ukraine.
On the margins of the YES Forum conference, George Scutaru also had meetings with foreign experts from various partner organizations for an exchange of views on the situation in Ukraine and new cooperation projects.
NSC representatives and Cristina Chiriac, President of CONAF, the organization with which NSC has a cooperation partnership, also met with Hideki Matsunaga, Chief Representative – Japan International Cooperation Agency – Ukraine Office, to discuss the collaboration between Romanian and Japanese companies and their involvement in projects dedicated to the reconstruction of Ukraine.
