NSC in the USA – Meetings with American Experts on US Foreign and Security Policy in Europe

Between March 17-19, George Scutaru, Director General of the New Strategy Center, was in Washington for an informational visit regarding U.S. foreign and security policy in Europe, following the installation of the new Trump administration at the White House.

George Scutaru held several meetings with experts from American think tanks such as America First, the Heritage Foundation, the Atlantic Council, the Hudson Institute, CEPA, and the Yorktown Institute, as well as with diplomats from the State Department, congressional staffers from the foreign affairs and armed forces committees, and experts from the Pentagon. The discussions focused on topics such as the peace process in Ukraine, the security situation in the Black Sea region, the U.S. posture in Europe, and bilateral relations.

The visit to Washington is part of the New Strategy Center’s ongoing efforts to promote the strategic importance of Romania and the Black Sea region. NSC is grateful to the Romanian Embassy in Washington for its support on this occasion.
