Simulation exercise for evaluating response capabilities to various crisis scenarios

The New Strategy Center, in partnership with the Ministry of National Defense through the Defence Staff (Romania) and the Center for the Study of New Generation Warfare (USA), organized a simulation exercise entitled “Operation Iron Shield: Strategic Mobile Defence” in Constanța, between March 12-14, with the support of the Romanian Naval Forces. The purpose of the training activity was to conduct an interinstitutional, strategic, operational, and tactical analysis of the multidimensional management of various strategic scenarios. The exercise also took into account regional security developments, assessing the response capability of the Romanian Armed Forces within the scenarios addressed.
