George Scutaru, Director General of the New Strategy Center, made a presentation on the strategic importance of the Black Sea on Tuesday, September 24, at Headquarters Multinational Corps South-East in Sibiu. During an event organized by the NATO’s Allied Land Command, George Scutaru presented to the audience the main security challenges in the Black Sea region in the context of Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine, possible developments, emphasizing the strategic importance of the Black Sea from the perspective of freedom of navigation, connectivity, energy resources and food security.

 
Also, MG (ret.) Paul Hurmuz, NSC senior associate expert, had a presentation for political advisors, in which he underlined the Russian threats that the Black Sea region has to face in order to better understand the dynamic of threats in the Black Sea region, which is a vital one for global stability.
