The study “Frozen Conflicts in the Heat of War. The Changing Tide in the Black Sea Region explores the nature of frozen conflicts in the wider Black Sea region. The authors of the study, Sergiu Mitrescu, Program Director at the New Strategy Center and Andrei Pavel, Non-Reisdent Expert at the New Strategy Center analyse the dominance of the military element in the strategic thinking of the Russian Federation, also addressing the possible developments of frozen conflicts in the light of Russia’s war in Ukraine. The study was edited by Ambassador Sergiu Celac, Honorary Chairman of New Strategy Center, with a foreword by Lieutenant General (ret.)
