Poland and Romania: Facing Security Challenges in Central and Eastern Europe

On November 13, The Institute for Eastern Studies, New Strategy Center and Polish Institute of International Affairs organized, in Warsaw, the debate ‘Poland and Romania: Facing Security Challenges in Central and Eastern Europe’.

This initiative underlines the importance of the strategic partnership between Romania and Poland, two countries with a specific role on NATO’s Eastern flank and whose strategic relevance increased after the security climate deteriorated caused by Crimea’s illegal annexation. The debates, attended by representatives of the academia, political environment and of the Polish  Government, focused on security challenges assessment in the region, mainly on topics such as energy and cyber security.

A similar event was organized by New Strategy Center and The Institute for Eastern Studies, in Bucharest on March 9th this year.
